I REALLY need to change what's posted on my last journal (I had my wisdom teeth removed several months ago and need to stop reminding myself that I was really nervous about the process).  So, what should I post? ....Hm, how about all of the videos I've made since then? You see, I started a video review series called There's No Business Like Show Business, a show that looks at musicals.  Whether it's a film, TV show, or a taped theatre productions, I look at them.  I'm now at episode 9, and I want to share this with my deviantart people (you know, the few people who pay attention to my deviantart account).  I'm also open to critiques and constructive tips. I know I have a lot of things to improve on, and I try to fix that with each episode.

Here's a list of my shows so far. I'll try to post journals more often so I don't have to leave a giant list:

Episode 2-Top 15 Underrated Vilain Songs:
Part 1: www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WepOG…
Part 2: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYQfds…
Part 3: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kgSHl…
Episode 3-Scrubs My Musical:
Part 1: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xa_fzk…
Part 2: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTsfqe…
Episode 4-Rocky Horror Picture Show: lilsisbigsister.blip.tv/file/4…
Episode 5-Jekyll and Hyde the Musical: lilsisbigsister.blip.tv/file/4…
Episode 6-Mulan II: lilsisbigsister.blip.tv/file/4…
Episode 7 and 8-A Rankin-Bass Double Feature: lilsisbigsister.blip.tv/file/4… and lilsisbigsister.blip.tv/file/4…
Episode 9: Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame: lilsisbigsister.blip.tv/file/4…

While I'm at it, I might as well post some links to some AMVs I made and a Blooper Reel for TNBLSB:

Let's start off with the good news, shall we?

GOOD NEWS: I finally posted my review series! It's called There's No Business Like Show Business and it'll cover musicals of any sort.  To start off, I covered a musical from my childhood.  Find it here:
Part 1: www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDXIkp…
Part 2: www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvcL22…
Part 3: www.youtube.com/watch?v=w15TsI…

Give your honest opinion.  I know I need to fix my audio and some of my acting skills, but hopefully it'll be fixed in time.

BAD NEWS: I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed tomorrow.  T_T This'll be fun. Luckily, I'm not as scared as I thought I would be, but I'm still a bit nervous.  And I only have to have 3 removed instead of the usual 4.  Apparently, my 4th wisdom tooth doesn't exist. It's like it deserted me.  Still, I don't like the fact I'll be out of it for a couple of days, but hey, get it done now or later.

BETTER NEWS: For those who know me, I was trying to get my IB diploma in high school.  I even had to go through a month of tests in May.  Well, the results came back, and I got it! I was SOOO happy.  I thought I was going to collapse on the floor.  But yay! 4 years of work finally payed off!  So, all in all, not a bad week....go check my review, please.

This took 5-6 hours ON THE SAME DAY...but it's done. ^_^ It involves one my favorite games Sly Cooper and a song from one of my favorite shows. Here it is: www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXqCia…

Things I have learned from this experience:

-Sly Cooper and the Thievious Raccoonus game uses a lot of the same movements.
-Carmelita Fox keeps changing accents in each game.  At this rate, she could be Domincian.
-Murray makes a great The Todd (It makes sense if you watch the show).
-My back REALLY hurts from sitting at my desk all day....it was worth it. I've had this day for months.

Hope you enjoy. ^_^

At first, I thought yesterday was going to be a bad day.  I figured out that the memory card my sister and I bought for our camcorder doesn't support the memory card.  We had a 4 GB card, and turns out the camcorder only supports up to 1 GB. T_T I should've looked at the manual a bit more....so now we have to find a 1 GB card which is hard to find in regular stores.  We're planning to get one on amazon, but it's still an inconvienence. Especially since I was FINALLY ready to start my review series on musicals (more on that in the future).  I also had to do Graduation Thank You cards last night, so that's a bit of a pain.

Still, the one thing that made my day was the fact I finally got my haircut.  I haven't had my hair cut to a short length for more than a year.  I have to keep it long for dance so I can put it up in a bun for the recital.  Still, it was a mess this year, and I wanted it cut off.  I wasn't planning on getting a haircut today, but my hair salon called and told me of a small opening. I took it and finally cut off at least two inches of hair.

Here's the cool part:  Once my hair was dried and styled a bit, it looked a lot like one of my OC's! I haven't drawn her yet, but I love the fact I now look a bit like her.  And I even have the hat she wears! ^_^ Now all I need is a plain black shirt, black heeled boots, and some fake weapons...belive it or not, I don't have a plain black shirt.

Basically, the past few days haven't been fun for me.  The shortened reason for this: growing up sucks.  The long version: Well, a couple of things/thoughts running through my head at the time.  One thing that's bothering me is that I'm doubting my own artwork again.  I usually go through this a few times per month and the feelings don't usually last long, but it's still a bummer to think that you do all this work for nothing.  At least, that's how I feel.

Then there's my collge life which is causing conflict in the family.  I'm signed up to be a mechanical engineer, which I think I'll like, but I'm still doubtful.  I mean, I still want to be a cartoonist and a dancer, but the engineering thing is my backup plan, I guess.  Still, my parents don't even look at my artwork and don't acknowledge that I like things outside of engineering.  Then, when I say I'm not sure about my future and maybe I won't be an engineer in the future, they get mad.  What, is it so wrong to like things outside of a job they keep forcing on me?  While I like science and math, I don't want to do it because it's the only thing that makes my parents happy.  If I'm an engineer, it's because I like what I'm doing.  It's a shame that the thing I do want to do like drawing and dancing is an undetermined future and might lead to financial problems.  I want to support myself, but I also want to do what I love.  And I want the world to love it back.  But I'm asking for too much, aren't I?

So that's my ramblin'.  I just need to write this down and figure out what to do with my life. Still, I like my shortned post of this: growing up sucks.
